Yeo Jin-Goo may appear in the drama remake of film “Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King!”
On August 8, reports stated that Yeo Jin-Goo had confirmed to appear in the drama remake of film “Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King” from 2012. However, Yeo Jin-Goo’s agency denied the reports and said they are still reviewing.
According to the company, the actor received the offer to star in the drama, but is still reviewing. Consequently, nothing has been confirmed. Earlier reports stated that Yeo Jin-Goo received the offer to take on the role of Gwanghae and Haseon, originally portrayed by Lee Byung-Hun in the film.
“Gwanghae: The Man Who Became King” premiered in 2012 and became a huge hit, attracting over 12.3 million moviegoers in total. The movie featured a legendary lineup of actors, including Lee Byung-Hun, Ry Seung-Ryong, and Han Hyo-Joo.
Producer Kim Hee-Won has confirmed to direct the drama, who recently produced MBC’s “Money Flower” that ended in February, 2018. The drama is aiming for a premiere on tvN in January, 2019.
