On May 9, Woo’s agency Happy Face Entertainment announced that the former “MIXNINE” contestants will release a compilation album. However, it will not be a solo record. Instead, he will partner up another former contestant and fellow HNB member Kim Hyun-soo. Woo was the top finalist by the show’s end while Kim was eliminated earlier.

The announcement comes after the devastating news that the finalist from the reality survival show “MIXNINE” would not debut. More, the cancellation was reportedly due to YG and the contestants’ management companies failing to agree on the terms of their contract.

Now, due to the failure of a formal debut through the show Happy Face Entertainment “discussed various things” with Woo concerning his future. After considering different avenues to “repay the attention and expectations” of fans, together they agreed to produce an album.

Currently, the company has not decided on a release date but promises that fans can expect it in the near future.
