“The Great Battle” is indeed, great!
On October 9, a Korean war historical film “The Great Battle” officially became the second most-watched Korean film in 2018. Within a month of release, the film reached over 500 million moviegoers in total and marked its great milestone.
The film is only second in place, following a hit film “Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days” which premiered in August. More specifically, “The Great Battle” surpassed in total of 5,201,385 moviegoers, thus passing the total number of moviegoers to went to go see the film “Believer” and its extended version.
Meanwhile, the film stars various A-list celebrities, including Jo In-Sung, Park Sung-Woong, Nam Joo-Hyuk, and AOA’s Seolhyun. They appear as Korean warriors going on a battle against Chinese forces, who are in attempt to invading ancient-time Korea. Experts from the film industry predicts that the film will soon reach its break-even point.
