Suzy recently appeared in a photoshoot and interview with ‘High Cut’ magazine.

In an interview, the actress revealed thoughts on her recent drama ‘While You Were Sleeping’. In the drama, she plays a journalist who has the ability to predict events before they occur.

The actress said she had practiced on her own until she met with real-life journalists and realized the true reality behind their job. She realized the point was to speak accurately rather than eloquently like an MC or narrator.

“I focused on words like ‘imprisonment’ and ‘prosecution’ because they appeared so often in the script,” she said. “My image of journalists is that they always stand still and upright. I had a lot of trouble with that because of my habit of gesturing and moving around.”

Suzy also talked about singing the OST for the drama. Her voice was featured in two main tracks, ‘I Wanna Say to You’ and ‘I Love You Boy’. “Before, I thought I’d have to clearly separate my role as singer and actress, but now I realize that there’s no need to. I can’t deny that I’m both, can I? I feel free after accepting those parts of myself,” she said.

“From now on, I want to both sing and act. If I act naturally, then it’ll be easier for people to accept it. Since it is a drama that I am in, it’s possible that I can sing the OST for it,” she added.

The actress also shared her recent addiction: dubbing apps (Kwai app). “There are so many videos I haven’t shared yet. They’re a little out there so I’m keeping them to myself,” she said.
