Super Junior’s Leeteuk is currently in the process of recovery after receiving an emergency surgery for gallbladder inflammation.

On July 24, SJ Label reported, “Leeteuk felt a great amount of abdominal pain around 5 AM today. He immediately went to the hospital and was diagnosed with acute cholecystitis, also known as the gallbladder inflammation.”

They continued, “the medical experts told us that it required an immediate surgery. In conclusion, the singer received the surgery the day of diagnosis and he is currently resting from it.”

According to the label, Leeteuk will take a break from all activities and events scheduled for this week. The label explained, “the doctor has recommended that the singer takes a break from activities to gain stability. Furthermore, the company always pus the health of our artists as our priority, and thus decided to cancel all schedules for the upcoming week.”

As a result, Leeteuk will not participate in the “SMTOWN LIVE 2018 IN OSAKA” concert on July 28 to 30, as well as other activities. At the end, the label asked for the fans’ understanding and promised to try their best to help Leeteuk gain stability and health back.
