Early January 2, MAKE US Entertainment released a credit teaser through Sunmi’s official social media channels. The teases presented some basic information about the singer’s comeback including the date and time of the release and production credits. Furthermore, the teaser also revealed that like “Gashina,” “Heroine” is a song created through the combined efforts of Sunmi, Teddy, and new producer 24.

Besides comeback information, there is an image of red, pink, and yellow flowers frozen in ice in front of a black background. Interestingly, these “ice flowers” in the teaser are reminiscent of the rose used in teasers for “Gashina.”

Sunmi’s agency, MAKE US Entertainment comment about the singer’s upcoming comeback raised anticipation even more. “We are doing our best to support Sunmi’s passion for music. As such, this 2018 single is filled with Sunmi’s unique charm,” the agency said. Indeed, Sunmi’s continued participation in creating her music coupled with another collaboration with Teddy all points to another mega-hit.

Meanwhile, Sunmi made her debut as a solo artist with the single “24 Hours” back in 2013. Sunmi’s strong performance of the song pushed it to the number two spot on the Gaon music chart. More importantly, the success of “24 Hours” proved Sunmi’s potential as a solo artist. Further, the singer’s  2014 release of her first mini album, Full Moon, solidified her status and reputation as a solo artist.
