On the August 4th episode of KBS2’s ‘Entertainment Weekly’, the actor appeared for a guerrilla date on the streets of Hongdae. Filming was moved inside because of growing crowd, attesting to the actor’s enormous popularity.

When asked about his thoughts on the crowd’s reaction, he responded, “Nowadays when I go outside, a lot of people congratulate me first. I don’t know if they’re congratulating me on my movie or something else.” The MC then asked him about his thoughts on performing fan service, given his upcoming marriage. To this, the actor clearly expressed his intention to continue to do his best for his fans, whether that be through taking selfies, hugging or reenacting his well-known scenes.

The actor also expressed his desire to continue to act. “I want to act until I die, but I’m also cautious,” he said. “I have a lot of greed lately. Don’t go softly on me,” he said humorously.

The actor was also asked about his close male friends. “I think Park Bo-gum has been receiving a lot of attention lately.” He talked about the tearful moment he had when Park Bo-gum went up to receive the Top Excellence in Acting Award at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards. “After that, I became known as the ‘crybaby’,” he recalled with slight embarrassment.

He also expressed his affection for Cha Tae-hyun. “I grew up watching Cha Tae-hyun eighty percent of the time,” he said. “I told him about my marriage a while back. He said he already knew and was anticipating it, and that the entire country probably already knew about it.”

Later on in the show, the actor sent a video message to his friend, actor and comedian Lee Kwang-soo. “Kwang-soo, I’m going to start a family now. I hope you can learn to read the situation and call me less. It’s important to be aware of these things. You’ll know what I mean one day. Thanks. Remember to keep working on it,” he said before laughing.

The actor shared about his relationship with his fiance Song Hye-kyo. “I proposed. All I remember is that I was really nervous. We’re actors, but when it’s just the two of us, we’re like any other couple. She accepted in the end,” he said bashfully.

The couple is known to share many similarities with each other. “We share similar tastes in dramas. Lately, we’ve been enjoying ‘My Father is Strange’ together. We even like the same couple,” he said.
