In a recent photo shoot and interview combo with fashion magazine Esquire, actor Song Joong-ki opened up about his marriage and love for his wife, Song Hye-kyo.

The two actors met while starring in the 2016 drama “Descendants of the Sun,” and like their on-screen counterparts, fell in love. Their romance which spanned about a year eventually lead to a highly-anticipated wedding in October 2017.

During the interview, Esquire asked the actor if the Song-Song couple keep their passion alive even after marriage. In response, Song said that he doesn’t think that “dating” (going on dates with Song Hye-kyo) or romance ends with once two people are married. In fact, the actor boldly proclaimed that he thinks “the best thing a man can do is love his woman.”

Continue the line of the conversation; the actor felt that in doing so is what really makes a man. “Although it may be important to be rich and gain fame, I think that being as in love with one’s woman as ever is the manliest thing a guy can do,” Song said.

Meanwhile, the two actors who put their careers on hold to spend time together have decided on their next acting projects. Song Joong-ki is set to star in a new tVN drama “The Chronicles of Asdal,” which will air next year. Likewise, Song Hye-kyo has taken a lead role in the drama “Boyfriend” with Park Bo-gum that will come out in November.
