Song Hye-kyo and Park Bo-gum are returning with a new Korean drama in two years.
According to the producer of “Boyfriend” on June 9, the two actors have finalized their decisions to star in the drama. With this, the drama is now ready to launch the pre-production, aiming to premiere in the second half of the year.
Drama “Boyfriend” is a melodrama depicting a romantic relationship between an ex-wife of a billionaire and a plain man. Their coincidental encounter grows as an unfortunate event changing their lives.
Drama fans are already excited for the new drama, especially because it will become the first piece to star the two globally popular actors. In addition, both of the actors are returning after two years of break, which makes fans anticipate even more.
Meanwhile, “Boyfriend” is produced by a dream team comprised of screenwriter Yoo Young-ah of “Miracle in Cell No.7,” “Take Off 2,” and drama “Entertainer” and producer Park Shin-woo of “Jealousy Incarnate” and “Angel Eyes.” Bon Factory, which has produced “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim” “She Was Pretty,” “Life Up to Your Name,” and “Master’s Sun,” will take charge of the production.
Aiming to premiere in the second half of 2018, the drama is currently discussing with tvN.
