Due to popular demand JTBC is currently considering a second season for the popular reality show.
JTBC is currently considering a second season for “Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast” due to popular demand. “Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast” is a television program that starred Lee Hyori, her husband Lee Sang-soon, and IU. The couple open a bed and breakfast for successful guests at their residence in Jeju Island where IU employed as a helper. The show’s charm and character comes from the stories and special moments between the cast and their guests.
According to her now former agency, Kiwi Media Group, the production team from the show recently visited the Lee couple’s Jeju home to discuss season 2. Yoon Hyun-joon, the producer for the show said, ” We have regularly held meetings with Lee Hyori. In our most recent meeting I communicate viewer’s response to the show and their desire for a second season. However, Mrs. Lee has not given any concrete answers to the crew regarding continuing the show.
Privacy is likely the major issue in continuing the show. After the Lee couple moved to Jeju island in 2013, invasion of privacy has always been an issue. But with their actual private residence being used as the setting of the show, the Lee couple’s home has become a tourist hot-spot. Both couples have taken to social media to voice their consternation with the situation and pleaded for fans and tourists to cease and desist.
Yoon Hyun-joon commented that, “Due to constant privacy issues the production team is cautious about the proposal. At the same time, we are still receiving inquiries about a second season, so we do need to provide an answer eventually.”
“Hyori’s Bed and Breakfast” first aired on June 25, 2017 and concluded on September 24, 2017.
