Samuel’s fans, called Garnets, came together to give the singer a meaningful gift for his 18th birthday.
Samuel’s fans donated 1.5 million won ($1300) to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation (KLCF) under the singer’s name to commemorate his 18th birthday, which is this Thursday. According to reports, the foundation will use donation made in his name to treat children with cancer.
Notably, this is just the latest good deed from Garnets who are continuing their tradition to do good deeds in Samuel’s name. Last summer, his fans gave 3.5 million won to the Seungil Hope Foundation, that is working to build a Lou Gehrig’s hospital, and 1.17 million to KLCF.
Currently, Samuel is working as a soloist that is active in both Korea and Japan. Last year, he also took on his first acting role in “Sweet Revenge 2” which aired from August to October. Besides that, he is also an MC on Arirang TV’s “Pops in Seoul.”
