Next Stop on SM Station is a Red Velvet Wendy X John Legend collaboration!
On October 8, SM Entertainment revealed the next artist to participate in the agency’s exclusive “STATION X 0” project. Upcoming artist is Wendy from Red Velvet, who collaborated with American artist John Legend for their duet song “Written in the Stars.”
This is the first time John Legend has ever collaborated with a K-Pop artist, let alone release an official track with them. The singer has chosen to do so with Wendy from Red Velvet, who has also proved her extraordinary vocal skills as the main vocalist of her group. At last, the two will release their duet song “Written in the Stars” on October 19 at 6 PM, KST.
Meanwhile, “STATION X 0” is a spin-off project of SM Station. SM Entertainment’s channel that releases digital tracks has collaborated with a culture brand ‘0’ to create a cultural project dedicated to people in the younger generations. Through this project, they plan on releasing various tracks that showcase collaborations of SM, as well as other label’s artists.
After launching “SM STATION” in 2016, the program released a total of 104 single tracks within two years. Throughout the seasons, they showcased unique collaborations between various artists, producers, and composers.
Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon collaborated with duo MeloMance as the project’s first artists. Then, rapper Loco and EXO’s Baekhyun stepped up as its second collaboration duo, followed by EXO’s Chanyeol and Sehun. Finally, the project manages to bring in a world star John Legend and makes itself into an international project.
