JTBC’s production team are in the middle of casting for the second season of “Welcome to Waikiki.”
With “Welcome to Waikiki 2” scheduled to air in the first half of next year, JTBC has started to look for the show’s actors. Reportedly, the show’s production crew have sent out casting offers to season one’s Lee Yi-kyung, along with new faces Ahn So-hee and Shin Hyun-soo. Shin did appear in one episode in the first season but was not a regular character.
Last week, a representative from the show said that both Ahn and SHin are positively reviewing their offers. Moreover, if Ahn, a former Wondergirl, decides to join the show, it will be her first drama since tVN’s “Entourage.”
In the first season of the show, three men with dreams of entering the entertainment world, instead run a guest house in the Itaewon district in Seoul. Unfortunately, the business is facing bankruptcy but then a mysterious single mother and baby appear, leading to a series of events.
