Due to an unfortunate mistake, a part of NU’EST W’s comeback track was leaked before its official release.

On June 21 broadcast of KBS “Good Morning,” NU’EST W’s upcoming title song “Dejavu” played in the background. The episode featured a story of 13-year-old yo-yo prodigy, which is not at all related to the song’s lyrics nor the group.

The song played from the beginning and stopped 28 seconds later, revealing all members’ voices. It included the part where not even the teaser videos showed, thus leaking the track before its official release.

Regarding the incident, KBS responded, “Pledis Entertainment requested for rating of the song on June 19, which got approved on June 20. As long as the song is deemed appropriate for broadcast usage, there is no problem including the track in a broadcast.”

They continued, “however, the production team is currently figuring out the exact details on how this happened. Because the program was outsourced, it will take some time to figure out where the song came from.”

Meanwhile, the leak was fairly detrimental to both NU’EST W and their fans. It was especially upsetting since this was the first comeback of NU’EST W in 8 months, since their “W, Here” promotions. KBS added, “we are quite sure the program’s production team has already talked to the agency about the matter. We will put together our official statement and announce when ready.”

NU’EST W’s new album “Who, You” and its title track “Dejavu” will be released on June 25 at 6PM, KST.
