On May 19, an official from the show’s production team said that the planned Netflix drama “See You Again” has been shut down. As a result, the script reading which was scheduled to take place that day was canceled.

A source from Netflix addressed the news saying that the company explained for it to provide the ultimate entertainment experience Netflix continually discusses various projects around the world. Further, “See You Again” was “one of the projects [they] were discussing” but were unable to reach a workable agreement.

The drama was planned to be 100 percent pre-produced and broadcasts on the streaming network. Now, given the news of its cancelation, Lee Jong-suk and Kim Ji-won will not be starring in another drama together for now, which has disappointed many fans. The two actors previously appeared in the MBC series “High Kick 3” in 2011.

Notwithstanding, many still have high expectations on whether there will be another Netflix production following Okja and Kingdom.
