On June 19 broadcast of ‘Video Star,’ Nam Tae-Hyun shared with us an update on his life. During the show, the singer addressed the recent scandals with actress Son Dam-Bi, his relationship with YG CEO Yang Hyun-Suk, among other things.

First thing on the table, Nam Tae-Hyun revealed that he gained over 12kg in the gap between each promotion. In order to lose weight for a comeback, he usually only eats one meal a day.

For the picture with Son Dam-Bi that created a major scandal, Nam said “I probably would have thought we were dating if I saw the photo from a third person’s point of view.”

He continued, “she thinks of me as a comfortable friend. It’s because I feel more comfortable around women. She’s older than me, but we talk about a lot of things, including giving each other advice on romance.” In conclusion, he strictly denied their rumored relationship by saying “she’s not my type. I’m probably not her type, either.”

Afterwards, they called actress Son Dam-Bi to confirm. During the phone call, the actress jokingly said, “what makes you so special that you can deny me? You’re not my style, either.” Furthermore, Nam Tae-Hyun said Son Dam-Bi cut off most communication with him after the scandal broke out. He said, “I know we haven’t talked since the rumors broke out, and I understand why. I hope you give me a call from time to time in the near future.”
