Nam Joo-hyuk has wrapped up his first fanmeet event in Japan in success, announcing the Osaka fanmeet in March next year.

On November 24, Nam Joo-hyuk’s first Japan fanmeet event took place at AiiA 2.5 Theater in Tokyo. Fans who filled the seats greeted the Korean actor with loud cheers.

Nam Joo-hyuk entered the event hall singing “Waiting” by Korean singer Lee Seung-ryeol. He expressed gratitude towards fans in Japan who’ve waited so long to finally meet him.

As soon as he said hi to the local fans, fans greeted the star by saying “Congratulations” in Korean to celebrate his winning of Best New Actor award at Blue Dragon Film Awards, which took place a day before the event.

Nam Joo-hyuk carried on the event by sharing episodes related to his debut drama and film. For the first half of the fanmeet event, the star shared stories related to his career. In the second half, Nam Joo-hyuk interacted with fans more actively by playing games.

“I’m truly happy to receive so much love from you all,” said the actor. “I want to meet you here more often if possible. Please wait for me. I love you all.”

Tickets to Nam Joo-hyuk’s first fan meeting sold out in a fierce competition, with more than 9,000 fans attempted to get into the venue with 1,600 seats. After the success of his first fan event in Japan, Nam Joo-hyuk announced a fan meeting in Osaka, which will be held on March 17, 2019.
