Music video for the title number of BLACKPINK’s first mini album “SQUARE UP,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU” has recorded 50 million views, reassuring the group’s popularity.

The record has been made in about 50 hours of the release, which is five times as fast as the group’s previous record. Following its previous records – 10 million views in 6 hours, 20 million views in 13 hours, 30 million views in 23 hours, and 40 million views in 50 hours – the group rewrote its record book by recording the shortest time to hit 50 million views.

The record is even more meaningful as it is the fastest among girl groups in the whole world, according to Billboard. Including other categories, BLACKPINK is in the fourth place.

BLACKPINK’s accomplishments as global artists are proved by iTunes charts as well. The group placed its name on the top of the charts in 44 countries, which is the highest number as a K-pop girl group.
