Lim Soo-Hyang says Cha Eun-Woo was as handsome as she had previously heard he was.

On September 20, Lim Soo-Hyang participated in an interview to commemorate the end of JTBC drama “My ID is Gangnam Beauty.” During the interview, the actress did not hold back her compliments on her co-star, Cha Eun-Woo.

When asked if Cha Eun-Woo was as handsome as people say he is, Lim Soo-Hyang answered, “he was perfect casting for character Do Kyung-Soo. As I had previously heard, Eun-Woo is very handsome.”

Then, the interviewers told the actress that her chemistry with Cha Eun-Woo grew stronger as the drama neared its end. In response, Lim said, “I felt so relieved to hear that. The age gap between us is 7 years. I worried a lot about that. At the beginning, I told him to meet me at 25. I would become 4 years younger and Eun-Woo would become 3 years older.”

She continued, “but he followed my lead very well. I think he’s more mature than any other 22 year olds. Kwak Dong-Yeon, who played in the role of Woo-Young, was also the child actor for my partner in previous dramas. This time, he played in the role of my senior. I thought it was very funny. What a play by destiny!”

“They may be even more mature than I am. I’m the youngest member of my family, but Eun-Woo is the oldest in his family. Sometimes, I felt like he was my oppa and we just played each other as if we were friends on set. After we became friends in real life, I think our chemistry got stronger in the drama, as well. I worried a lot, but I’m so relieved now,” concluded Lim Soo-Hyang.

The actress continued to compliment Cha Eun-Woo on his acting. Lim said, “he’s a smart kid, smart actor. Whenever someone gives him advice, he absorbs it in immediately. As I was acting alongside him, I could tell how much he was improving and it made me very proud.”

She continued, “his strength as an actor is the twinkles in his eyes. They are perfectly suited for a melodrama. Even though he is already capable of doing many things, I think he will continue to shake the hearts of many female audience later on. Even his crying is very pretty. It’s like jewels are falling out of his eyes so I was very jealous about that.”

At the end, Lim Soo-Hyang shared about what it was like to play in the role of a character who is 7 years younger than her actual age. The actress said, “I actually loved it when I received the offer to play in the role of Kang Mi-Rae. I’m almost 30, but they want me to play as a 20-year old? That was crazy. You know how people say when you are young, you laugh at anything in life. However, I don’t think I was like that at all. So I was very excited to be able to go back to that age even if it was through a fictional drama.”

Furthermore, she emphasized on the bright and fun atmosphere in which the filming took place. Lim continued, “because I started acting at a young age, I never really had the opportunity to laugh out loud. But with “My ID is Gangnam Beauty,” I feel like I got to anti-age both physically and mentally because I was thinking positively. I played with my co-stars while on-set and I felt like I was in my early 20’s again. I don’t think I’ve ever worked on a drama set where I could laugh this much.”
