Comedian Lee Young-ja has donated 100% of the pay she earned from working as a model of a commercial.

On July 20th, Miral Welfare Foundation announced, “comedian Lee Young-ja has recently donated 100% of the model fee she earned through working as a commercial model with her manager. She asked us to use the money for medical expenses of children with disabilities that are from low-income families.”

Last April, Lee Young-ja appeared on the MBC’s special show ‘Miracle of A Spring Day’, which was aired for the Day of the Disabled. On the show, Lee introduced stories of disabled children as the MC and showed tears.

After appearing on the show, Lee Young-ja has decided to donate all of the profit that she earned from the first commercial she worked with her manager. The donation will be used as medical expenses of 7 children with disabilities, who urgently need treatments or surgeries, and are from low-income families.

“Many children with disabilities that are from low-income families have to stop receiving treatments because of economic difficulties although they desperately need those treatments. Lee Young-ja’s warm sharing will not only support paying for the medical expenses of the children, but also help expanding the sharing culture in our society”, said by Jung Hyung-suk, who is the representative at the foundation.

Meanwhile, Lee Young-ja has been appearing on shows including MBC ‘Omniscient Interfering View’, Olive ‘Bob Bless You’, and JTBC ‘Lan Life’.
