Lee Soo-man is behind on of the most successful and largest companies in South Korea, SM Entertainment. The 64-year-old founded the company in the 1990s and debuted boy group H.O.T, Korea’s first idol group. Since then, SM Entertainment has fostered some of the biggest groups in K-pop. This includes Super Junior, SHINee, EXO, Girls Generation (SNSD), F(x), Red Velvet, and NCT among other acts.

Moreover, Lee Soo-man has also expanded the reach of his entertainment company beyond music to include acting, modeling, and artificial intelligence departments. Additionally, SM Entertainment also has a theater, market, and cafe where fans can immerse themselves in K-pop.
