Lee Bo-young will be starring in tvN’s Wed-Thurs drama ‘Mother’ next year.

On Sept 27, a tvN representative released the news, saying, “‘Mother’ will air next year on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Lee Bo-young and Lee Hye-yeong’s appearance have both been confirmed so far. We are looking over the list for someone to play Lee Bo-young’s daughter.”

The drama’s first episode will air in 2018, following ‘Avenger’s Social Club’ and ‘Wise Prison Life’.

‘Mother’ is a remake of a Japanese drama. The plot revolves around a woman who finds out a young girl is receiving abuse from her mother and decides to kidnap the girl. Lee Bo-young is to play the role of the woman kidnapper.

Lee Hye-yeong will be playing the beautiful and threatening actress Young-shin. ‘Mother’ will be her first appearance since the popular 2011 MBC drama, ‘Can You Hear My Heart’.

‘Mother’ is currently looking for a child actor and actors to play the main cast.
