Singer-turned-actor Kim Jeong-hoon has finally broken his silence on a recent controversy involving a former girlfriend. This includes lying to secure a role on a show and for this ex-girlfriend to terminate a pregnancy.
On Thursday, Kim Jeong-hoon broke his silence and released an official statement through his agency Creative Gwang. According to a spokesperson from the agency, the Kim did not force his ex-girlfriend, herein referred to as “B,” to terminate her pregnancy.
Additionally, using the lawsuit that was filed against the against the actor, the representative noted that “if the [forced termination] happened, it would have been a criminal lawsuit, not a civil one.”
Beyond that, Kim’s recollection of events is completely opposite to the events detailed in the lawsuit. Rather than forcing B to terminate her pregnancy and cutting off contact, Kim claims that he “repeatedly conveyed” to her that he will be “fully responsible for all parts of the child’s care” if it is his. However, due to differences in opinion, they failed to communicate properly.
Apologizing for waiting to release his statement, Kim said he and his agency will do their best to ensure that the issue is resolved smoothly. Further, should another situation arise they would like to handle it better and in a timely manner. Moreover, Kim also offered an apology to fans and the production team of “Taste of Love,” who had expressed disappointment when this scandal broke.
However, although Kim has broken his silence on this controversy, this does not mean that he is completely free from the situation. It is unknown whether his fans and industry insiders will accept his late apology.
