Groups and artists who were top search terms throughout the year including EXO, BTS, and WANNA ONE are expected to grace the stage at MBC’s year-end event Gayo Daejejeon.

Through MBC’s “Gayo Daejejeon: The Live,” the network’s annual year-end music festival, viewers and attendees will revisit the hot keyword that swept the music industry this year. Under the theme of “keyword” performances by memorable guests on “King off Mask Singer” and impressionable stars of “I Live Alone,” like MAMAMOO Hwasa and Norazo will have special stages that MBC says cannot be seen anywhere else.

There are other notable events occurring at this year’s music festival including a special performance by TVXQ who are celebrating their 15th anniversary. According to reports, the duo will perform a brand new song at the event.

Along with TVXQ, there will be a celebration for Drunken Tiger who will be celebrating his 20th anniversary and his last album before retirement. The rapper is expected to have a duet with Baek Ji-young and other collaborations that have not been specified yet.

Later in the show, the biggest names in K-Pop like EXO, BTS, Red Velvet, TWICE, and Wanna One, iKON, Winner, BtoB, MOMOLAND, VIXX, GUGUDAN, MAMAMOO, GFRIEND, MONSTA X, and more will take the stage.

Performances by solo and independent artists like Ben, Yoon Mi-rae, Vibe, Hong Jin-young, and Bizzy will take place as well. Moreover, the MCs of the event, Noh Hong-chul, Yoona, Min-ho (SHINee), and Cha Eun-woo (ASTRO) will open the event with a special performance.

The 2018 MBC “Gayo Daejejeon: The Live,” which boasts an unprecedented lineup, will be broadcast live for about four hours starting at 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 31.
