JYP Entertainment and MNet collaborate for a new reality show, which is to find employees for the entertainment agency.
“Super Intern” is a program designed to find interns to work at JYP Entertainment without considering age, gender, education background, or experience. The reality show aims to offer fair opportunities to many talents in the midst of the hiking unemployment rate.
Park Jin-young, the founder of JYP Entertainment, expressed much eagerness for the project. On November 1, he even visited 2018 Restart Job Fair to meet applicants and offer mentoring opportunities for them.
The most important quality he is seeking from applicants is passion. Park Jin-young said, “By saying we’re not considering any background, we mean we’re going to review each applicant’s capability more strictly.”
In the first week of the application period, 3,500 applicants applied to “Super Inter.” The agency is taking applications by November 18. Based on the applications and interviews, JYP Entertainment selects the “super interns” to join the 6-week project to find the employee. Every process will be shown through the show, which will premiere in January 2019.
