On October 23, Fantagio Entertainment reported that it has already taken steps to prosecute the those creating or circulating falsehoods online about Ong Seong-wu. This includes insults, defamation, malicious comments, postings, and the dissemination of rumors
In a public statement, the agency said that it submitted a complaint to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office regarding the defamation of Ong Seong-wu on the 12th and the 23rd. It has also provided some 4,000 pieces of evidence, including comments and posts, for review that will lead to a lawsuit.
Further, according to Fantagio Entertainment, “the spread of falsehoods and malicious smear campaigns against Ong has reached an unacceptable level,” which hurts the singer and his fans. More, the agency plans to continue to take legal action as necessary to protect its artists.
