Lia Kim, a choreographer, known for her work on Sunmi’s Gashina and founder of 1MILLION dance studio, revealed who she believes are the best dancers among idols.
On October 28, Lia Kim was a guest on MBC’s “Idol Radio” show where she said that TWICE are the best dancers out of idol groups. Going further, Kim mentions that member Momo is especially gifted, and describes her as being a “god-given dancer.”
“TWICE Momo seems to be a real God-given dancer. She’s really good,” Kim said. “She is like a sponge; if she just sees [the choreography] she can upgrade it. She has this kind of charm,” Kim explained.
Kim has previously worked with TWICE in the past on their hit song “TT” where she came up with making a “T” with her hands. In response to this revelation, DJ Jung Il-hoon from BtoB said every time I saw other idols’ choreography; I wondered how they as such an idea for the highlight (dance move), and “TT” was one of those choreographies.”
Being a gifted dancer, Kim has also worked with Sunmi on many of her recent songs and I.O.I when they were still a group. Concluding the interview, Kim advised young dancers hoping to turn their passion and hobby into a career to “be strong!”
