EXO’s latest ‘KoKoBop’ challenge is going viral.

Exo made a comeback last July on the 18th with their 4th album ‘The War’. Their title track ‘KoKoBop’ incorporates elements of reggae and gives off a different feel from their previous tracks.

The boy band has pre-sold about 800,000 copies of their album and sold over 600,000 copies during the initial period of sales, nearing the ‘quadruple million seller’ title.

‘KoKoBop’ has been warmly received by fans abroad. Many took to filming themselves dancing to the chorus of the song and uploading their covers on social media sites with the label ‘#KoKoBopChallenge’. The challenge has since gone viral and is playing a huge role in boosting EXO’s global popularity.

After its appearance on a popular Filipino show, the ‘KoKoBop Challenge’ has also been attracting fans in Korea.

EXO’s fourth album ranked first on United World Chart, first on U.S. Billboard World Album Chart for two weeks, first on iTunes Album Chart in 42 countries, first on Apple Music Album Chart in 18 countries, and first on Xiami Music’s Korean music chart.

EXO is expected to appear on Mnet ‘M Countdown’ this August 10th, and MBC’s ‘Show! Music Core’ and SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ on the 13th.
