Comedian Yoon Jung-soo is getting a backlash for taking photos of a woman he doesn’t know, and publicly posting them on social media.

On August 16th, Yoon Jung-soo posted photos on his Instagram account and wrote: “Just chilling by myself. I go to cafes alone.”

It seemed like the comedian had gone to a cafe by himself on a free day. He posted multiple photos of himself with the cafe’s interior in the background. He wrote, “someone told me about this cafe so I came here, and it’s pretty fun. There are two people in this cafe right now, me and that woman. But she doesn’t seem to be interested in me at all.”

After seeing his post, many people criticized him in the comments saying it was wrong that he shared the photos of the woman without her permission nor covering her face.

New photo Yoon re-posted with stickers on the woman’s face – Yoon Jung-soo’s Instagram

After more and more comments that were criticizing him were posted, Yoon Jung-soo deleted the original post and re-posted the photo with stickers on the woman’s face.

He wrote: “I apologize for posting the previous photo. The cafe was so quiet and I felt very comfortable in the cafe, I posted the photo because her face was so small in the photo that I thought it would be unrecognizable. I have apologized to her and re-posted another one with stickers on her face. I am very sorry.”

Despite his apology, the dispute did not really stop and fans argued against each others on his Instagram on whether what Yoon did was problematic or not. Some argued, “what he did was not wrong”, while others argued, “there should be an awareness of the problem”.
