Actor Choi Daniel is the leading favorite to star in the KBS2 drama “Today’s Detective.”
On April 20, an official from KBS’s drama department confirmed that they had sent an offer to actor Choi Daniel. They said, “We made a proposal to Daniel for the protagonist in ‘Today’s Detective.'” Further, they added that “we are talking positively” about the role.
The new show will be a dramatic mystery-thriller where the main character delves into the mysterious death of another detective and younger sibling. More details regarding the plot are in development.
Lee Jae-hoon, who worked on “Chief Kim,” another KBS2 drama will be in the director’s seat. Further, the writer of the SBS show “Wanted” will be involved in scriptwriting. Currently, the new drama is in pre-production and with producers presently working on securing a cast.Afterwards, filming will begin with the aim of broadcasting sometime in August.
On the other hand, Choi Daniel played a lead in “Jugglers” that finished in January. Notably, this was his first project after completeling his military conscription.
