Blackpink will be the first ever Kpop idol group to perform at Coachella 2019! This will go down in history as not only the first female Kpop group to perform at Coachella but also starting off Blackpink’s US debut with an explosive bang!
Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival announced their lineup for 2019 on January 2nd and, lo and behold, Blackpink will be performing on stage April 12 and 19 with famous artists like Childish Gambino, Janelle Monae, the 1975, Diplo and other artists. In addition Blackpink will also be joining Hollywood Star Will Smith’s son Jaden Smith on stage.
For Blackpink to be performing on Day 1 of the festival signifies how much popularity the group has. It has been reported Paul Tollett, one of the founders of Coachella, visited South Korea last year to personally invite Blackpink to perform at Coachella. Thanks to this we can expect to see more of Blackpink this year.
Other days of the festival will have artists like household names Ariana Grande, Khalid, Zedd, Wiz Khalifa, Solange (Queen Bey’s sister) and more. Who’s excited for Coachella 2019? BLINKs are you ready?
