BLACKPINK revealed that Yang Hyun-Suk wasn’t satisfied with their ‘DDU DU DDU DU’ comeback stage.

On June 19, BLACKPINK appeared on MBC FM4U “Ji Seok-Jin’s 2 o’Clock Date’ to promote their newest album, ‘Square up.’ Among many things, one thing the group shared caught people’s attention. They revealed that their boss, Yang Hyun-Suk, wasn’t completely satisfied with their comeback stage for ‘DDU DU DDU DU.’

When the host Ji Seok-Jin congratulated the group for reaching 5 million views on their music video, BLACKPINK thanked him. Ji Seok-Jin said, “you reached over 5 million views in the first two days. That’s our country’s population. It’s amazing what you have achieved in such a little time.”

He continued by asking if the group pays attention to their rankings on music charts. In response, the group said, “we try not to, but of course we do.”

Furthermore, BLACKPINK addressed their comeback stage, which they had at MBC ‘Show! Music Core’ on June 17. When the host asked if they received a compliment from Yang Hyun-Suk, the group said no.

Jisoo said, “we were also sort of disappointed with the comeback stage. I think Yang Hyun-Suk also thought it wasn’t our best performance, considering the fact that he has been overseeing our practices.” They continued, “he told us to be more confident with our future performances.”
