BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” became the fastest song to reach 200 million music video views on YouTube, reaching the number only in 33 days.
On July 19, the music video for BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” surpassed 200 million views on YouTube. To celebrate the record, YG Entertainment shared a poster with writings saying “DDU-DU DDU-DU 200 Million YouTube Views.”
Since their debut, BLACKPINK has been breaking a series of records in K-pop’s history. The group became the fastest girl group to hit 10 million and 100 million music video views. The record included both girl and boy groups when the group reached 150 million views.
The 24-hour views of “DDU-DU DDU-DU” were second to the highest, not just in the K-pop history but in the whole world.
All six music videos released by the group have surpassed 100 million views. On the Billboard chart, too, BLACKPINK placed their name on the highest among all the K-pop girl groups.
