South Korean actress Ham So-Won and her husband, Jin Hua overcame an age gap of 18 years and registered for marriage.

Ham So-Won entered a Miss Korea contest in 1997 and made her debut in the entertainment industry. Afterwards, she starred in ‘Sex is Zero,’ ‘Where is this?’ and ‘Ameera’ and received much attention globally. She went over to China and actively starred in various dramas and movies.

Ham So-Won wished for a normal relationship when she appeared on the broadcast of tvN’s ‘Taxi’ last year, but things took a different turn. She has registered for marriage in both Korea and China with her husband, Jin Hua, who is 18 years younger than her. Jin Hua is a fashion businessman who owns over 200,000 followers on Weibo.

On April 17 broadcast of SBS’s ‘One Night of TV Entertainment,’ Ham So-Won and her husband revealed the behind story of their relationship. Jin Hua said, “my friend was friends with Ham So-Won. It was love at first sight.” Ham So-Won said, “Jin Hua told me he will provide everything for me at our first encounter. I thought hew as joking, but after a month later, he said the same thing.”

Jin Hua said he did not know the age gap was that big of a difference. He said, “I thought Ham So-Won was in her mid-20’s when I first saw her. By the time I realized her age, it was too late. My parents strongly rejected our relationship and had said they were going to disown me. However, I told them I was going to marry her no matter what, and they eventually gave up.”
