The “Cross” actor will join the military today for basic training.
On May 21, Go Kyung-pyo will enlist in the military without any official personnel or special event.
Go will first go through a five-week training period after which he will be assigned an official position. Regarding his service, the actor has demonstrated a determination to fulfill his duty “as a Korean man” and plans to do so with “sincerity and courage.”
However, enlisting also means that the actor will put his career on pause. Go has appeared in various TV dramas including “Reply 1988,” “Jealousy Incarnate,” “Chicago Typewriter,” “Strongest Deliveryman,” and most recently the medical drama “Cross.”
Considering that he will be entering the army at a current peak of his career, there is not much concern that this will hurt him.
