JYP Entertainment announced on January 31 that it had recently signed new contracts with five members of 2PM. Contract talks with the five members, Jun. K, Nickhun, Wooyoung, Junho, and Chansung went well, and they will continue with the company for the foreseeable future.

The sixth member of the group, Taecyeon, is the only 2PM member who has not resigned with the company. However, it was not because he did not want to, he simply enlisted prior to the end of his contract last year. As such, he was unable to participate in contract negotiations. JYP Entertainment expects to discuss whether he would like to re-sign with the company after he completes his mandatory military service.

2PM is a second generation boy group popularly knows as “beast idols” for their fit physique and manly mannerism. Since their debut in 2008, they have renewed their contract with JYP Entertainment in 2015 and again this year. Having been in a group together for so long, there were no surprises why the company said, “the members have agreed that they will remain together forever.”

On another note, the members of 2PM excluding Kickhun will enlist in succession starting with Taecyeon who entered last year.
