On November 3 Cube Entertainment announced on its site, ” We have recently signed a contract with Jo-Kwon. The long-standing relationship between Jo-kwon and the CEO of Cube Entertainment, Hong Seung-sung, was a key factor in the decision.”

Moreover, cube Entertainment participated in the management of 2AM’s first album. As such, the company has a “good understanding of Jo-Kwon musical tendencies and propensity, and we will actively support him.”

Jo-kwon has been a trainee with JYP Entertainment (JYPE) since 2001 and debuted with 2AM in 2008. However, when his contract with JYPE concluded in September, he decided to not resign with the company. With his departure from JYPE, Jo-kwon became the last member of 2AM to leave the company.

While the ballad group has not released an album in many years, they have continued to insist that they have not disbanded. Perhaps with the beginning of this new chapter fans can anticipate a comeback from 2AM.
